NSMW 2011 Tour

LACA’s plans are ready and National School Meals Week is about to travel the country visiting a new school each day.  You can see on the map where the tour will be going and if you click on the individual day graphic below you can find out more information.

The aim of each day is to promote healthy school lunches to pupils and students in a fun and interesting way.  The more everyone can do to promote an interest in healthy food at school will help the next generation grow up fitter and healthier.  In this way we can help them enjoy their life to the full.

There are lots of items you can download including quizzes from Change4Life, videos including one about Falkland War hero Simon Weston, recipe booklet and activity sheets.  So have a look round and we might well be coming to a school near you.

Thanks to all the teachers and school caterers that have supported the tour as without them nothing would be possible.  There are some great things going on and a report of each day’s activities will go on www.iloveschoolmeals.co.uk.  This will include video footage and we aim to capture the fun of the events.
