Welcome to National School Meals Week

National School Meals Week (NSMW) is run by the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) and promotes healthy school meals. A school lunch helps young people recharge their batteries to be at their best for afternoon lessons. NSMW takes place 8 - 12th November 2010.

Increasing school meal numbers is always a challenge but NSMW is a great promotional vehicle to help you. Market research showed that in NSMW 2009 where there was an increase in meal numbers, the average was 7.8%. Sign up now for this year's event, look around this website to see the things that are available.

For Schools

NSMW promotes healthy eating to Secondary and Primary School students. It is free to take part as it is run and sponsored by the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA). There are different themes each day that you can use or create your own. The most important thing is to Get Involved so please register now.

Download everything you need to take part in NSMW. There are posters, letters, a guide to running the week, planning tool and much more. You will be able to access everything by registering for National School Meals Week.
